Bahia Honda State ParkOne of America’s top 10 most beautiful beaches, the park encompasses over 500 acres and offshore islands that offer some of the best snorkeling and beachcombing in Florida. Gift shop and concession stands make it easy to make this an all-day trip with the family.

Aquarium EncountersFlorida Keys Aquarium Encounters is your home for the most interactive aquarium experience. This is the United States’ ONLY aquarium where you can interact with the marine animals. Either you’re taking the tour, putting your hands in the touch tanks and petting stingrays, or you’re diving in the tank feeding sharks! It’s up to you!

The Turtle HospitalThis preserve was founded by Richie Morretti in 1986 to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sea turtles. The site also emphasizes educating the public, assisting with research, and sponsoring legislation. Over time, The Turtle Hospital has evolved into a world-class facility. Visitors are welcome daily from 9 am-6 pm, with guided tours available every hour until 4 pm.

Pigeon Key: Early 20th century buildings that once housed railroad workers and their families now house historical museums on this tiny island at the end of the Old Seven Mile Bridge. Visitors may also take advantage of the two sandy beaches, picnic areas, and fishing areas. Access is only by boat; ferry tickets are available on Knight’s Key at Pigeon Key Gift Shop.

Dolphin Research CenterFounded as a nonprofit corporation in 1984, the facility’s goal is to ensure the dolphins have a home for life. Along with an educational tour, they provide numerous actives with the dolphins, such as swimming with these majestic animals, taking photos, or having the dolphins paint a t-shirt for you. This experience is truly unforgettable.

Sombrero Beach: Sombrero Beach is Marathon’s public beach. Not only does the beach provide breathtaking views, a pier for fishing, and palm trees for shade on the beach, but the property also has volleyball courts, children’s jungle gyms, and plenty of bathroom and showering facilities.
